Nov 1, 1918/ Friday War Diary: news of Turkey's surrender

Got up about 7 this a.m. shaved and went out scouting around for something to drink. Got some nice bottled beer. Town is encircled with barbed wire entanglements. Heard Turkey had given up. We leave again tonight. Salvaged a lot of ordnance property here.
