Nov 3, 1918/ Sunday War Diary: Taking position

First four gun squads went up to the front and took position last night in the rain. The mud here is nearly knee deep. Manchester & Cpl Berrett left with the machine guns this p.m. Ammunition detail also went up. Doyle, Brown, Price & I slept in the forage wagon. Put in an awful night. Too crowded. Nothing to do but explain seeing lots of sights & policing up lots of souvenirs.
