Nov 6, 1918/Wednesday (Boullionville) War Diary: gas masks

Well, here I am in Boullionville, a little town all shot up by the Yanks when they drove the Boche out. It is located at the base of a big hill and is protected to a certain extent from the Huns by this hill. Am sleeping in room with Stg. Paige, Doyle & Hambeck. Have to wear our gas masks at all times as they send over gas shells nearly every day. Wade into the stream with our boots to wash. Lots of dugouts around here.
