Nov 9, 1918/ Saturday (Thiaucourt) War Diary: shelling and injuries

Second four gun squads went up tonight to relieve the first. Battery moved to new position N.E. of Thiaucourt. While passing thru Thiaucourt they were shelled. Several of the boys were bruised with flying stones. Larson hit in the leg and Guisbut hit on jaw with flying shell splinters, while passing thru Thiaucourt. 2nd 4 gun squads came back after helping move the guns and ammunition. They were a pretty scared bunch. The big guns around here are busy today and one can hardly hear themselves think.
