Oct 23, 1918 (Versailles) War Diary: hears of losses at the front

(for map of Euron, with Le Mans and Versailles click here)

Woke up at Le Mans after being shook up all night. Saw some Yank artillery men there who were back from the front (115 F.A.). Said their outfit lost a lot of men at the front. They left Coetquidan the day we came in. Stopped at Euron long enough to shave. Will be in Versailles by 8 p.m.
