Oct 31, 1918/ Thursday (Toul) War Diary: aeroplanes and search lights

Saw another battle this noon between aeroplanes and anti-aircraft guns. Hums tried to bomb big ammunition dump here. We left Domgermain at noon traveling by foot. Passed through Toul about 3:30 p.m. Pulled into Lagney about 8 p.m. and went into billets for the night. Pretty tired. Left guns is big field. Searchlights lit up the sky in search of planes.
