Sept 14 & 15, 1918 War Diary: drawing ordnance

Sept 14- Sat

Just got back from minstrel show at "Y" hut #2. It was fine and the house was full. Nothing much doing today to write about. Expect to draw our own guns tomorrow from Ordnance depot.

Sept 15 - Sunday

Went down to Ordnance park this a.m. at 8 o’clock and drew our guns and caissons and brought them up to our park. Gun crews had to clean them all up and worked all the rest of the a.m. on them. Went over "vinegar" hill to cognac valley in the evening. Half the battery was liquored up tonight.

Drew helmets this afternoon and issued most of them out tonight. Most of them are 2nd hand helmets.
